How do I setup E-mail Forwarding?

You can have any or all E-mail addressed to your domain account forwarded to an outside E-mail account or to a different E-mail address within your domain.

To add an E-mail forwarder, start by logging in to your CPanel account.

Select E-Mail Forwarders from the Email Management Tools section.

Click on Add Forwarder if you wish to forward a single E-mail address or Add Domain Forwarder to forward ALL email addresses to your domain.

Forwarding a Single E-mail
Type the first part of the address you want E-mail forwarded from in the Address section.

Type the complete E-mail address you want E-mail forwarded to in the Destination section.

Click on Add Forwarder and your new Forwarder will be activated.

Forwarding ALL Domain E-mail
Type the complete E-mail address you want E-mail forwarded to.

Click on Add Domain Forwarder and your new Forwarder will be activated.

Remember, you can forward mail to any address, inside or outside of your domain with the exception of some free E-mail services such as Yahoo or Hotmail.

Be careful when forwarding E-mail accounts inside your domain. You might inadvertently create an indefinite loop that can cause all E-mail accounts to stop working on your domain.

NOTE: You do NOT have to create an E-mail account to setup a forwarder. For example, if you want to forward all E-mail messages going to john@yourdomain.com, do not create a an E-mail account for john@yourdomain.com. When you setup the forwarder the server will know what to do. If there is an email account created for any forwarder, that forwarder will not function.
